Security Camera System – Datawatch-provided Panasonic NDR (network disk recorder) WJ-NX300

Modified on: Fri, 26 Jan 2024 3:25 PM

This had to be replaced on 1/24/24. We have to provide a Public IP address (seen below) for visibility in the web browser and in the iOS/Android app for the engineers. There is also a desktop-based client running on the Security Guards’ Datawatch PC that shows the camera feeds.

Public IP settings: IP Address: 208.118.163.115

                                    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.224

Gateway:         208.118.163.97   (our Allied internet router)

                                DNS: 66.208.1.2, 66.208.2.2        (Allied’s DNS servers)

The public IP address is one that is directly configured, rather than a NAT set up on the firewall, so the port has to be in the Internet DMZ (VLAN 666) on the switch in order for it to work. The port in the engineer’s office that the recorder is connected to goes to the 7th floor switch and it’s port gi 2/0/18 on there. If the port is moved the new port will have  to be placed in VLAN 666 as well.
